The mission of the Mt. Canaan Music Ministry is to:

1.  Lift up the Name of Jesus.

2.  Lead the congregation in worship through music in the worship services of our church.

3.  Inspire worship and praise.

4.  Provide meaningful and inspirational music

            a. for the worship services

            b. through special event performances

            c. for outreach opportunities

5.  Create an atmosphere that is conducive to the moving of the Holy Spirit.

6.  Set a standard of excellence in worship and musical performance.

7.  Reach the lost and to compel sinners to repentance.

8.  Encourage the disheartened and to strengthen the weary.

9.  Be a living testimony of the amazing grace of Jesus Christ.

10.Provide a common ground of fellowship, spiritual growth and ministry for those who participate as performers.

11. Prepare the people for the word of God.

The accomplishment of this mission depends on the commitment of each member of the music ministry.  All aspects are equally important, our combined commitment and concern will result in the most effective performance for our ministry effort.
